Hi, I am Starla.
I'm a storyteller, mom, and lover of light.
I'm a mountain mama in Loveland, Colorado to my two gingersnaps. I grew up in Missouri and then I grew my photography business in Tennessee. 100% my love language is photography. I feel like it's how I can see the world, how I can show you your own life from a new perspective, and how I can love, grow, and heal. I know that that exact moment will never happen again and it's a privilege to capture that stage in your life. I've always said you either love photographing weddings or you hate it and I absolutely loves photographing weddings and elopements. I love seniors for their love of life and fresh eyes full of hope. I love families because every one has a story and it's so important to capture each stage. I have had a LOT of loss in my life (I'll do a blog post and fill you in) and each loss changed me. That loss drives me in a very different way now. I look at sisters at age3 and 6 and think... man you have some good times ahead of you and I hope you foster that relationship into everything amazing it could be. I see a dad walking his daughter down the aisle and I think that's such a privilege that should never be taken for granted. I see a senior ready for their senior year and I get so excited for the memories they'll make and wish them strength in their upcoming life. I feel things deeply and I hope that shows through the love I have in my work.
